Amy Cheng is a piano performer, teacher, and music educator. She earned her Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio, studying under Dr. Jackson Leung, and she earned her Master’s in Piano Performance on a full scholarship at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, studying under Dr. Naomi Oliphant.

Before studying at UofL, she participated in serval competitions in Macau, and received second prize in the 29th Macao Youth Music Competition, Franz Liszt advanced level, second prize and first prize in the 28th Macao Youth Music Competition, euphonium intermediate level and chamber music, and fourth prize in the 2nd Macau-Asia Pacific Youth Piano Competition, Franz Liszt advanced level. She is the recipient of the 2015 Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Agnes Fowler Scholarship and the third-prize winner of OhioMTA/Graves Piano Solo & Ensemble Contest, senior division in 2013. Amy has performed joint recitals in Macau, mainland China, and United States.
