Choi Weng Ian, Winnie, who is from Macau, graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Arts(Animation).
She has a keen interest in painting since she was young, developed from watching manga.In 2009 She studied at Kenton School in the UK and achieved A+ in GCSE Art and Design.
While studying at university, she took basic courses such as Watercolor, Oil Painting, Sketching, and 3D MAX. She participated in the “Say No to Drug” poster design in 2007 and the Gambling Prevention Comics Competition in 2012 and won the championship award. In 2015, she participated in the National University Group in Taiwan and obtained the merit award for the PIXAR “Inside Out” design contest; only 10 groups from National Taiwan University were shortlisted. She was responsible for producing a 3-minutes hand-drawn short animation for graduation and was exhibited at the grade 105 University Graduation Exhibition.
In addition to being interested in art and painting, she also has many years of experience in piano teaching and has obtained the Outstanding Piano Instructor Award. One of her students obtained the first prize in Grade 7 and 8 at the 3rd Hong Kong Pacific Piano Open Competition and won the champion in Grade 4 of the 2023 PURCELL International Youth Piano Competition.
