Keith Lei is a professionally trained flutist and music educator, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance (Flute) from Macao Polytechnic University. He began his flute studies at the age of 13 and later received advanced training under the Principal Flute of the Macao Orchestra, developing a strong foundation in both performance and musicianship.
During his studies, Keith served as Principal Flute of the Macao Polytechnic University Orchestra and held leadership roles in the wind band, orchestra, and the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has performed extensively in orchestral concerts, music festivals, and international music exchange programmes, gaining valuable experience in ensemble performance and professional stage practice.
Keith has received recognition in both local and international competitions, including awards at the Macao Young Musicians Competition and the ASAF Asia Students Art Festival Music Competition. He was also selected to perform in the ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert and was a finalist in the Hong Kong International Flute Competition, reflecting his dedication to artistic excellence.
Since 2023, Keith has been serving as a flute instructor and wind band conductor at Instituto Salesiano Macau. He is committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students build solid technical foundations, develop musical expression, and gain confidence through performance and ensemble playing.
