Keri Mak is a young mezzo-soprano from Macao, holding a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance (Opera) from the Central Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the renowned mezzo-soprano and Associate Head of the Vocal Department, Professor YuanYuan Sun. Her early vocal training was guided by esteemed educator and conductor, Liu Mingyan.
Currently, Keri serves as a part-time vocal teacher at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the Macao Polytechnic University and is the choir conductor of the Singing Club at the School of Music of the Macao Conservatory. She has also served as a judge for several music competitions, including the Derun Music Talent Competition, the Provincial Level Competition for Young Musicians, the Macao International Arts Festival Open Competition, and the EIMOC Excellence International Music Open Competition.
In addition to classical bel canto, Keri excels in various musical styles, possessing rich experience in pop music and musical theater. She has been invited to perform at exclusive concerts for different organizations and to sing at numerous large-scale and private events.
Keri was invited to sing the national anthem at the 25th Anniversary of Macao’s Return to China and the inauguration ceremony of the sixth government. Furthermore, she performed the soprano solo in the premiere of the large religious choral work *Huineng Song* by renowned composer Li Haiying in Macao and performed at the 44th Anniversary Independence Gala of the Embassy of Grenada.
