SUNNY SITOU

Born and raised in Macao, Sunny started playing the violin in his childhood. Since then, he has developed a strong interest in music. He had also been a percussion player in the Wind Band of his Secondary School (Instituto Salesiano). In addition, Sunny finished multiple educational courses in the School of Music of Macao Conservatory.

In 2015, Sunny went to Taiwan for higher music education with a major in violin performance with Professor Hsu Chien-tai and a minor in piano and composition. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from National Taiwan Normal University in 2019 and 2022, respectively. During his studies, he actively participated in orchestral performances of the National Taiwan Normal University String Orchestra, NTNU Symphony Orchestra, YinQi Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, and Clap & Tap Chamber Orchestra.

    Sunny also researched in musicology, music aesthetics, and music philosophy in graduate studies. With his great passion for music, art, literature, and philosophy, he will bring into his teaching an abundant humanistic background.
