Master Degree 'Diplom' (Prayner Konservatorium)

Deborah studied flute at the Macao Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Professor Liu Chang. Later, she went to the Vienna Conservatory of Music in Austria to further her flute performance studies with Professor Karin Reda. She also studied at the Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Austria under Professor Reza Najfar, where she obtained a master's degree in flute performance with the highest honors. During her studies, she also took piano lessons with Russian piano educator Professor Natalie Nokkat. She furthered her studies at the Dusseldorf Conservatory of Music in Germany, specializing in flute and piccolo performance under the instruction of Professor Matthias Schmidt, the director of the Aachen Opera. Leong has performed extensively in Austria, Germany, Hungary, and other countries, including performances at renowned venues such as the Golden Hall in Vienna and the Ehrbar Saal.

During her time in Europe, Leong served as the principal flutist in the Vienna Wind Orchestra and was also a member of the soprano section in the Austria Joseph Haydn Concert Choir. She toured with the choir and performed at various locations and music festivals in Austria, and recorded Mozart's Requiem in D minor.

Currently, Leong holds the position of flute and ensemble instructor at the Macao Conservatory of Music. She has collaborated with the Macao Orchestra and the Macao Chinese Orchestra as a guest musician, and has also toured Europe with the Macao Orchestra. The students she has taught have achieved awards in numerous music competitions.
