Henry Ip

PhD in Composition (University of Salford)

 Ip is a Macau-born composer who studied music composition at the University of Salford and completed his PhD in Composition in 2011. During his studies in the UK, his compositions and orchestrations were performed by various ensembles, including orchestras, wind bands, British Brass Bands, percussion ensembles, string ensembles, chamber music groups, choirs, contemporary a cappella groups and Chinese music ensembles. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University United International College from 2016-2021, teaching courses related to compositional techniques, soundtrack and recording production.
